Columbiana - November 8, 2008 - Floyd D. Coleman, 79, of 226 Brenda Lane, died at 6:55 a.m. Saturday at his home.
Mr. Coleman was born January 10, 1929 in Lisbon, a son of the late Willis and Garnetta Hephner Coleman and lived in this area all of his life. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He had been employed as a truck driver with the former Franklin Furniture in Columbiana. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Genevieve F. Bower, whom he married June 21, 1952; two daughters, Karen Nalipa of Boardman and Connie Engberg of Woodhaven, MI; a son, Kevin Coleman of Columbiana; a brother, Willis Coleman of Lisbon; and twelve grandchildren.
A daughter, Kim Costlow; a brother, Donald Coleman; and a granddaughter, Justina Coleman are deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with the Reverend Scott Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Monday.
