Florence Ann Wilson

Washingtonville - Florence Ann Wilson, 76, of 665 High Street, died at 9:50 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Wilson was born June 13, 1936 in Salem, a daughter of the late Raymond W. and Ethel R. Lowther Herold and had lived in the area all of her life. She had been employed as a baker at the Salem Community Hospital for 15 years, retiring in 1982. She had been a member of the First United Methodist Church, Columbiana.

Her husband, Leon J. "Pete" Wilson, whom she married June 29, 1957 died August 2, 1994.

She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Lee Wilson and Tamye Sue Simms, both of Washingtonville; a sister, Mrs. Marylen Compton of Pittsburgh, PA; and four grandchildren.

A sister, Leila Rae Herold and a brother, James Robert Herold are also deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with Pastor Connie Sassanella officiating. Burial will be in Washingtonville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior the services on Friday.
