Columbiana - January 8, 2006 - Florence Knight Kliner, age 90, of Columbiana, formerly of East Palestine, died at 9:12 p.m. Sunday at the Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.
Mrs. Kliner was born July 26, 1915 in Enon Valley, PA, a daughter of Charles P. and Alda Mae Bird May and had lived in Columbiana the past five years, coming from East Palestine. She had been employed as a decorator at the W. S. George Pottery and had also worked at Kenmar Manufacturing and the former Chick's CafAC., all of East Palestine.
She was preceded in death, January 11, 1982, by her husband, Roy Kliner, whom she married July 20, 1973.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles H. (Martha) Straub of East Palestine; three sons, Donald W. (Shirley) Knight of Winter Haven, FL, Robert L. (Suzanne) Knight of Columbiana, and William H. (Betty) Knight of Leetonia; a stepson, Pete Kliner of East Palestine; two sisters, Hazel Andrews of East Palestine and Stella Keck of Columbiana; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Burns Memorial Chapel at Glenview Cemetery, East Palestine with Mr. Danny Knight officiating. There are no calling hours.
