Leetonia-January 25, 2012-Florence Victoria Johnson, 81, of Walnut St., died at 2:00 a.m. Wednesday at her home, surrounded by her loving family, of heart complications.
Mrs. Johnson was born April 5, 1930 in Cleveland, a daughter of the late Wallace and Violet Zawavcka Rzepczynski and had lived in Leetonia the past 9 years coming from Oklahoma City.
Florence was a legal secretary for APCO Oil Corp. in Oklahoma for 23 years. She had also worked for the Nickel Plate Railroad and the Standard Oil Company in Cleveland.
Florence was a 1949 graduate of The Andrews School in Willoughby, OH. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Leetonia and the LCBA #909 of the church.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Anne (Jeffrey) Kiliany of Leetonia; her sister, Irene Gorecki of Parma; three grandchildren, Jennifer Anne Kiliany of Columbus, Beth Anne Kiliany and her fiance, Larry Gilbert of Leetonia and Patrick Kiliany of Leetonia; and her great grandson, Braydon Thomas Gilbert.
She was preceded in death by her sister Wanda Dybowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Reverend Robert Edwards officiating. Friends may call from 9-11 am Friday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions to Lifeline Pregnancy Center 889 N. Market St. Lisbon, OH 44432.
