Florence Beck Hillberry

Salem - May 14, 2009 - Florence Beck Hillberry, 87, of 560 North Ellsworth Avenue, formerly of Leetonia, died at 12:45 pm Thursday at the Essex II of Salem.

Mrs. Hillberry was born February 9, 1922 in Salem, a daughter of the late George and Anna Hall and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Leetonia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James I. Hillberry; a son, Donald Beck; a stepson, Richard A. Hillberry; two sisters, Doris Charlton and Bernice Garrod; three brothers, Russell Hall, George Hall, and Waldo Hall; two grandsons and one great grandson.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Wilson of Salem; a son, James Beck of St. Cloud, FL; a step daughter, Sharon Beck of St. Cloud, FL; a sister, Audrey Martin of Canfield; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Oakdale Cemetery Chapel, Leetonia with Pastor Douglas DeMar officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
