Salem-Florence A. Dotson, 84, passed away at 12:45 am Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Dotson was born January 6, 1932 in Leetonia, a daughter of the late Frank and Anna Ripple Johnson and had lived in this area all of her life.
Florence worked at Love's Pastry and Gezo's as well as Ort Furniture in Salem.
She was a member of Franklin Square United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Clyde "Red" Dotson, whom she married July 26, 1954, died June 11, 2008.
She is survived by her three daughters, Barbara (David) Rice, Connie (Thomas) Moracco and Anna (Kenneth) Kibler all of Salem; a son-in-law, David Kibler of Salem; a sister and two brothers; four grandchildren, Tanya Cook, Ryan Dotson, Shane Kibler, Katlyn Kibler; three step grandchildren, Tonia Graham, Angela Monroy and Duane Rice; three great grandchildren, Felicia Fullum, Tyler Fullum and Trent Dotson; a step great grandchild, Aiden Graham; a great great granddaughter, Kara Weber; and a special family friend, Carl Miller of Salem.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Kibler, a son Clyde Dotson, Jr., a grandson, Richard Pucci and several sisters and brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with Chuck Grubbs officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Square Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday, January 25, 2016 at the funeral home.
Memorial tributes in memory of Florence may be made to Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center activities fund.
