Faye Elliott Grim

Faye Elliott Grim, 90 of Ravenna, formerly of East Palestine and Mogadore, Ohio , passed away May 15, 2017after a lengthy illness.

She was born August 29, 1926 in Negley, Ohio, the daughter of the late George and Minnie Mackall Elliott.

She was a 1944 graduate of East Palestine High School, and worked in the office at W.S. George Pottery. She was a member of the New Springfield and Mogadore Methodist Church, where she served 38 years on the finance committee.

Her husband Donald Grim preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 2010. They were married on Dec. 12, 1947. She was preceded in death by her sisters Ruth Elliott and Grace Berresford and brothers Duane and Harvey Elliott.

Survivors include three daughters: Marcia (Tim) Hancox of New Waterford, Jodi (Carl) Riggenbach of Kent, and Karen Chaney of Cuyahoga Falls.

Also surviving are five grandchildren: Scott (Ruthie Davis) Hancox, Chris (Jaime) Hancox, Megan Riggenbach, Brandon Riggenbach, and Shawn Chaney.

She also leaves four great grandchildren: Alec, Kendall, Cade and Haven Hancox.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home in East Palestine. Officiating the services will be pastor Kathy Barton. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
