Boardman - July 15, 2008 - Evelyn H. Broderick, 79, of 6936 Ron Joy Place died at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the Hospice House, Poland.

Evelyn was born August 3, 1928, a daughter of Theodore and Minnie Berrisford Hanson in Struthers, OH. She graduated from Poland Seminary High School in 1946 and worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube offices in the Stambaugh Building, Youngstown, OH.

Evelyn was a member of Mount Olivet United Church of Christ and the Garden Club both of North Lima.

She is survived by her husband, Myron F. Broderick whom she married February 9, 1951; three daughters, Colleen (Ken) Goodman of Mineral Ridge, Joan (Rick) Franczkowski and Karen (Tom) McCarthy both of Boardman; two sons, Michael "Mike" Broderick of Canfield and Myron "Chip" Broderick, Jr. of Raleigh, NC; ten grandchildren, Kristen (Brad) Sackella, Melissa (Shawn) Hicklin, Sandra Cutlip, Stephen Mapus, Richard (Monika) Franczkowski, Suzanne McCarthy, and Wendy, Erin, Michael and Joshua Broderick; five step grandchildren, Ken (Vicki), Shawn (Sue), and Ray Goodman, Megan (Vince) D'Apruzzo and Lisa (Phil) Vaughn; three great grandchildren, Nicholas Cutlip, and Morgan and Taylor Sackella; twelve step great grandchildren, Brittany, Bridget, Ian, and Tyler Goodman, Anthony and Michael D'Apruzzo, Rebecca, Phillip, Jack, Catherine, Jessica and Jennifer Vaughn; two sisters, Marian (John) Brennard of New Springfield, and Leona Sloan of Struthers; two brothers-in-law, Sam Banozic of Niles and Millard Lipp of Buffalo, NY; and two sisters-in-law, Donna Mound of FL and Jean Rigney of Poland.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Phyllis Banozic.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2008 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Reverend Melinda Q. Lacefield officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Material tributes may take the form of a donation to the Mount Olivet United Church of Christ memorial fund or to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St. Youngstown, OH 44512-2198.
