East Palestine, June 28, 2004, Eugene Carl Robb, age 64, of 865 North Market Street, was pronounced dead on arrival at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Salem Community Hospital of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Robb was born December 24, 1939 in Columbiana, a son of the late William and Mary Lamoncha Robb and had lived in this area all of her life. He had been employed as a laborer at Crucible Steel, Midland for several years.
He is survived by his wife, the former Anna Jean Hargreaves, whom he married May 21, 1977; five daughters, Cindy Robb of New Waterford, Mrs. Richard (Mary) Scott of Wellsville, Mrs. Mike (Lori) Shreve, Amy Dalrymple, and Kathy Duncan, all of East Liverpool; two sons, Casey Robb of Wellsville and Michael (Tammy) Robb of East Liverpool; a step son, Rusty Hargreaves of Lisbon; three sisters, Grace Donahue of Kensington, Betty Haueter and Mrs. Wayne (Shirley) Everett, both of Leetonia; two brothers, Carl (Karen) Robb of Salem and Richard Robb of Youngstown; 20 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 step grandsons whom he was raising.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Edith Robb; two sisters, Doris Ours and Mary Beede; and a brother, William Robb.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Thursday at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine, with the Reverend Thomas Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday.
