Petersburg - April 21, 2005 - Ethel M. Ball, 80, of 13007 Harman Road, died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday at her home.
Mrs. Ball was born May 8, 1924 in New Waterford, a daughter of Clarence and Ora R. Schultz Kimble and had lived in this area most of her life. She had been employed as a waitress at Strouss Hirshberg in Boardman for eight years, retiring in 1977.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Petersburg.
She is survived by her husband, Gilmer Ball, whom she married September 12, 1941; a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Renee) Stewart of Cortland; a son, Terry C. Ball of Petersburg; a sister, Doris Hutchison of Youngstown; five brothers, Kenneth Kimble of Columbiana, Norman Kimble of East Palestine, George Kimble of Columbiana, Albert LaClair of Fowler and James LaClair of Darlington, PA; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A son, Gilmer A. Ball and three brothers, Porter Kimble, Gerald Kimble, and Vernon Kimble are deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Petersburg, with the Reverend Kenneth G. Hacker officiating. Burial will follow in Petersburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to the services on Monday.
