Esther Ann Lesch

Leetonia, OH-August 7, 2005-Esther Ann Lesch, 71, of 701 Cherry Valley Road, died Sunday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Youngstown.

Mrs. Lesch was born September 15, 1933 in Washingtonville, Ohio, the daughter of John (Bud) and Edna Mae McLellan Stecker.

She graduated from Leetonia High School and Salem City Hospital School of Nursing, retiring from Salem Community Hospital in March 1992.

She was a member of Robbins United Methodist Church, Washingtonville, the Salem Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and the Columbiana County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society.

Her husband, Walter H. Lesch Jr. whom she married in February 18, 1962, died January 9, 1999.

She is survived by two sons, Steven (Kimberly) Lesch of North Royalton, Ohio, and Walter (Jennifer) Lesch of Cleveland, a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Joyce Ann) Bumgardner of Leetonia; two grandsons and a granddaughter; two brothers, Carl Stecker of Leetonia and John (Ron) Stecker of Washingtonville, and one sister, Donna Smith of East Palestine.

Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005 at the Oakdale Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Cheryl Vanatsky officiating. There are no calling hours.

It was Esther's request that, instead of flowers or memorial gifts, friends plant a tree.
