Columbiana-November 5, 2009-Emma D. Wright, 76, of 126 S. Middle Street, died at 6:55 p.m. Thursday at Salem Community Hospital.

Mrs. Wright was born March 8, 1933 in East Palestine, a daughter of Walter and Pearl E. Kline Clemmer and had lived in this area all of her life.

Emma was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of Christ, East Palestine.

Her first husband, Donald Bishop, Sr., whom she married June 23, 1951, died April 25, 1980. Her second husband, Wayne Wright, whom she married January 3, 1987, died March 10, 2007.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Dennis) Baker of East Palestine and Judith (David) Trella of New Brighton, PA; two sons, Donald (Sherry) Bishop, Jr. of New Waterford and John E. Bishop of Akron; a sister, Mabel Clemmer of Salem; two brothers, William (Linda) Clemmer of Wampum, PA and George Clemmer of Columbiana; seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, James Bishop and a brother, Robert Clemmer.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the First Church of Christ, East Palestine with Mr. Bob Helbeck, Minister and Mr. James Ostick, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in Petersburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
