Emaline E. Carnes

East Palestine, OH-August 13, 2007-Emaline E. Carnes, age 70, of 5462 Jimtown Road, died at 2:44 p.m. Monday at East Liverpool City Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Carnes was born February 4, 1937 in East Liverpool, a daughter of Homer and Leota Crawford Anderson and had lived in East Palestine for one year coming from the Lisbon area.

Emaline had worked for Crawford's Market in Rogers and had also helped in an East Palestine area beauty shop.

Her husband, Shirlen Carnes, whom she married August 2, 1953, died March 12, 2003.

She is survived by four daughters, Emaline Weyand, Dorothy Cramer and Wanda Latshaw all of East Liverpool and Leota (Charles) Cramer of Calcutta; five sons, Homer (Crystal) Carnes, Sr. and Alvin Carnes both of Lisbon, Russell Carnes of East Palestine, George (Norma) Carnes and Daniel Carnes both of East Liverpool; a sister, Alice Anderson of Wellsville; twenty seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, John Carnes, a sister, Dorothy Faulkner, a step brother, Harvey Crawford and a granddaughter, Tiffany Barnes.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will be in Kemble's Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
