Elsie E. Ziegler

Leetonia - Elsie E. Ziegler, 94, of Washingtonville, formerly of Cleveland, died at 7:40 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center, Columbiana.

Mrs. Ziegler was born August 6, 1920 in Germany, a daughter of the late August and Augusta Winkler Gudat. She had been employed as a secretary at the General Motors Coit Road Plant in Cleveland for many years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Cleveland.

Her husband, Alfred P. Ziegler, whom she married April 19, 1952 died July 27, 2011.

She is survived by a sister, Frida Onigkeit of Highland Heights, OH; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Eric and Kurt Gudat.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with Pastor Alan Smearsoll officiating. Burial will follow in Washingtonville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Monday.
