Elouise M. Yerian

Elouise M. Yerian, 87, of 204 Village Court, Columbiana, passed away at 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at her daughter's home.

Mrs. Yerian was born on September 27, 1921, in New Springfield, the daughter of Milton M. and Ola Peters May. Elouise was a life-long area resident and member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Springfield. She was also a member of Church Circle and the Jamestown Trace Women's Association. Mrs. Yerian first worked at the Sun Oil Company then she served as bookkeeper for the family business, May Chevrolet in New Springfield and lastly she was employed as a medical claims administrator for Dr. Richard Wise. She enjoyed sewing, craft club, card club, and her friends.

Mrs. Yerian is survived by two daughters, Kay Ann Bonham and her husband Richard of Westerville, Ohio and Jane Frendberg and her husband Donald of Powell, Ohio; a sister, Mary Zwingler and her husband LaMar of Canfield, Ohio; three grandsons, Kris, Brant and Karey; two granddaughters, Kori and Tracey and five great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Raymond Alan Yerian, whom she had married on May 29, 1942 died December 23, 2007. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Cobb and a brother, Caryl May.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Pastor Emeritus Robert Brigham and Minister Aimee Raymond, officiating. Burial will be in the Petersburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2009 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Mount Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215 in Elouise's memory.
