Leetonia - March 19, 2007 - Elmer Louis Dillow, 83, went with the Lord on Monday, March 19, 2007 at the Hospice House of Poland, Ohio.

Mr. Dillow was born in1923 in Connellsville, PA, a son of Newton and Cora (Evans) Dillow.

He served in the United States Army and was a Prisoner of War during World War II and received multiple medals of Honor.

He was a lifetime member of the York Drexler Post #5532 VFW in Washingtonville, a lifetime member of the American Ex-Prisoner of War, a member of the American Ex-Prisoner of War of Steel Valley, Chapter Thirteen, a member of the Allen Masonic Lodge # 276, F&AM in Columbiana, and a member of the Joe Williams Post #131 American Legion at Washingtonville.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Bruce, his parents, and his eleven siblings. He is survived by his wife, Frances; three children, Sherry Cracraft, Cynthia Sikorski, Randall Dillow, and three step-children, Ronald St. George, Richard Hubbard, Jeffrey Hubbard and their families; thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

He was an exceptional man who will always be loved and cherished, and will be missed by many.

The graveside service, officiated by Pastor Robert Noble will be held At 1:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Salem.
