Ellen A. Ross Currie

Ellen A. Ross Currie, age 87, of 42236 Kelly Park Road died at 8:00 p.m. Friday in the Salem Community Hospital.

She was born Aug. 20, 1919 in Rogers, daughter of Frederick and Linea Gorby Posey and had lived in Rogers-Columbiana area most of her life.

Mrs. Currie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Columbiana and Columbiana Chapter #428 Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death March 1, 1992 by her first husband, William Edward Ross Sr. whom she married May 14, 1943 and her second husband, Kenneth Currie, in July of 2002 whom she married in August of 1994.

Surviving is a son, Rick L. (Gloria) Ross, and two grandchildren, Heather (Douglas) McElroy and Anthony Ross, all of Leetonia, a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Evelyn) McCoy and a daughter-in-law, Ellen Ross, both of Columbiana.

A son, William Ross Jr.; a sister, Leona Candle and a brother, Paul Posey, preceded Ellen in death.

The Rev. Steven K. Brown will officiate the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Monday the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Green Haven Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday and 1:00 until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.

An Eastern Star service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
