Elizabeth Theresa Switzer

New Waterford, OH-February 6, 2008-Elizabeth T. Switzer, age 91, died at 3:50 a.m. Wednesday at Essex of Salem I.

Mrs. Switzer was born December 25, 1916 in East Palestine, a daughter of Charles H. and Grace Mollenkopf Dickens and had lived in the area all of her life.

Elizabeth was a seamstress for the former Kenmar Furniture in East Palestine, a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and the Edward L. McGuckin Post #4579 VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Her husband, Earl "Speed" Switzer, whom she married December 29, 1956 died January 16, 1976.

She is survived by a niece Linda (Lawrence)Yeager of Atwater, OH; a nephew, John (Saundra) Dickens of Lisbon; two great nieces and a great nephew.

A brother, John C. Dickens preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Reverend Mark McTrusty officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home.
