Leetonia - Jan. 30, 2005 - Elizabeth A. Smith, 80, of 383 Sleepy Hollow Drive, died at 8:00 a.m. Sunday at the Holander House, Salem following a long illness.
Mrs. Smith was born January 2, 1925 in Youngstown, a daughter of James H. and Lina M. Metzler McFee and had lived in this area all of her life.
She was a homemaker and had been a member of the Robbins United Methodist Church of Washingtonville. She had also been a member of the Leetonia PTO and had been a Civil Defense volunteer.
Her husband, William E. Smith, whom she married October 31, 1942 died September 26, 1992.
She is survived by a daughter, Shari Smith of Leetonia; three sons, Douglas R. (Judith) Smith of Columbiana, David L. (Patricia) Smith of Washingtonville, and Charles T. (Deborah) Smith of Salem; two brothers, Clifford D. McFee of Pittsburgh, PA and Larry A. McFee of Reno, NV; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A daughter, Jane Ellen Smith and two sons, James A. Smith and Donald R. Smith are also deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with the Reverend Gene Leiter of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Middletown, Ohio officiating. Burial will be in Washingtonville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday.
