Elizabeth J. Slusser

East Palestine - July 10, 2007 - Elizabeth J. Slusser, 87, formerly of East Palestine, OH, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday morning, July 10, 2007, surrounded by her loving family in Hopewell, PA.

Mrs. Slusser was born June 12, 1920 in Sewickley, PA, a daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth Beck Mackall, Sr.

She was a retired glazer, working at the former Kingwood China, East Palestine for several years.

Her husband, Robert William Slusser, whom she married June 16, 1979, died June 1, 2005. Two brothers, Carl and Edward Mackall are also deceased.

She is survived by a son, Raymond Woods, Sr. of New Waterford; a brother, Clarence Mackall, Jr. of East Palestine; six grandchildren, Mrs. Rick (Gwenda) Leadbitter of Hopewell, PA, Randy Woods of New Middletown, OH, Brenda Shumar of Denbo, PA, Mrs. Terry (Debbie) Roe of Kentucky, Raymond Woods, Jr. of East Palestine, and Mrs. John (Rena) Martin of Lore City, OH; 18 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2007, at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine, OH with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 -7 p.m. on Thursday.
