East Palestine-November 25, 2008-Elizabeth "Betty" Lundy, 88, formerly of Washington Street, died at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday at Essex I of Salem.
Mrs. Lundy was born January 30, 1920 in East Palestine, a daughter of Arthur C. and Pearl M. Albright Angle and had lived in this area most of her life.
Betty was a 1938 graduate of East Palestine High School and attended Kent State University. She was a cosmetologist and also worked as a nurse's aide and in food service. She was a member of Fishers of Boys in Darlington, PA.
Her husband, Charles J. "Bud" Lundy, Sr., whom she married September 16, 1944 died January 7, 1992.
She is survived by three daughters, Candy (Rick) Baker of Industry, PA, Pennie (Pete) Poly of Salem and Kym (Kevin) Couch of Springfield; a son, Charles (Deborah) Lundy, Jr.; a sister, Martha Battles of Norwalk; a brother, Paul Angle of La Vale, Maryland; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine handled the arrangements.
