Elizabeth "Betty" Keagy

Salem- Elizabeth “Betty” Keagy, age 97, of Salem, died on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living Sterling House of Salem.

She was born on August 24, 1919 in Salem, a daughter of the late Andrew and Rosella O’Neil Ketterer.

Betty was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Leetonia.

Her husband, George M. Keagy, whom she married on September 24, 1940, preceded her in death on March 12, 2012.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol Sevenich of Leetonia; two sons, Lynn (Barbara) Keagy of Columbiana, and Bill (Brenda) Keagy Sr. of Negley; a sister, Louise Faini of Sioux Falls, SD; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Kovaric, and a brother, Gene Ketterer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Leetonia.

Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Salem.
