Elizabeth Ann Flohr

Columbiana - Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Flohr, 78, of 204 West Park Avenue, died at 11:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Parkside Health Care Center.

Mrs. Flohr was born March 1, 1933 in North Lima, a daughter of the late Gustav and Anna Schneider Nemenz and had lived in this area all of her life.

She was a graduate of the Youngstown Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at Forum Health at both Northside and Southside Hospitals for 44 years. She also owned and operated the former Nemenz Little Shopper in Columbiana for many years. She was a member of the Good Hope Lutheran Church, North Lima and the Hannah Circle of the church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Flohr, whom she married June 6, 1954; two sons, Charles A. Flohr of North Lima and Michael E. (Sallie) Flohr of Cincinnati; two brothers, Henry Nemenz of Boardman and Gustav Nemenz of North Lima; and two grandchildren, Catie and Andrew Flohr.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Nemenz.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Pastor Paul Heine officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday.
