Elizabeth "Betty" Bell

Leetonia- Elizabeth “Betty” Bell, age 90, died on Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Salem Regional Medical Center.

She was born on June 1, 1925, in Leetonia, a daughter of the late Andrew and Nellie Eskay Duko.

Betty was a graduate of Leetonia High School and had worked as a secretary for Deming Pump Co. in Salem.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Leetonia and of the LCBA Branch of Leetonia. Her hobbies included bingo, baking and spending time with family, but most of all she loved being around children.

She is survived by five daughters, Patricia J. (Mark) Keefer and Joyce (Dan) Palmer all of Salem, Mary Lou (Brad) Smith of Leetonia, Bettyanne (Joe) Koziel of Austintown, and Kathy (Dave) George of Columbiana; two sons, George (Leanna) Bell of Temecula CA and Andrew (Terri) Bell of Canfield; two sisters, Helen Gallo of Leetonia and Mary Catherine Tortora of Northville, MI; two brothers, Edward (Sandra) Duko of Canfield and Larry (Renee) Duko of Leetonia; a sister-in-law, Mary Duko of Leetonia and by sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George Duko.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Leetonia with Reverend Robert Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Leetonia.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. on Friday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home in Leetonia prior to the Mass at the church.
