Elaine Kenney

Hanoverton - April 26, 2007 - Elaine Kenney, 72, of 6671 Lakeview Drive, formerly of Greenford, died Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at her home.

Mrs. Kenney was born August 17, 1934 in Youngstown, a daughter of Harry and Mary Fusco Applegarth and had lived in this area most of her life. She had been employed as a school bus driver for 25 years for the South Range School District, retiring in 1999.

She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Salem and she enjoyed bowling, walking, traveling, and especially her family.

She is survived by her husband, Paul F. Kenney, whom she married October 6, 1951; two daughters, Mrs. Alan (Marilyn) Wenger of North Lima and Mrs. Jeff (Gail) Davis of Greenwood, SC; six sons, Paul Kenney of Tampa, FL, Mark (Lori) Kenney of Columbiana, Terry (Tammy) Kenney of Leetonia, Michael (Susan) Kenney of Canfield, Kirk (Sheri) Kenney of Boise, Idaho, and Patrick (Michele) Kenney of Rogers; a brother, Arthur (Jane) Applegarth of New Springfield; 24 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Salem with the Reverend Thomas Eisweirth officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greenford. Friends may call at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday.
