Leetonia - Eileen Garlinda (Mackey) Hall, 91, went into the arms of our Lord on Thursday, November 11, 2010, at 3:50 a.m. She died in her home peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born January 31, 1919 in Enon Valley, PA the daughter of John and Marguerite "Peg" Wright Mackey and was a longtime resident of Leetonia. Eileen owned and operated a beauty shop in Leetonia and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Leetonia.
Eileen is survived by a son, James Lathen Hall, Jr. of Lisbon; a daughter, Sandra E. (George III) Howard of Jacksonville, NC; three grandchildren, Heidi Hall of Lisbon, Jennifer (Brayden) Tucker of Leetonia and George Albert Howard, IV of Jacksonville, NC and one great grandson, who was her pride and joy, Lathen William James Tucker of Leetonia.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, James Lathen Hall, Sr., her parents, a sister, Evelyn Altman, and a daughter-in-law, Barbara J. (Pettigrew) Hall.
Eileen enjoyed spending time with her family and playing with her great grandson whom she resided with. She is deeply loved and will be missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. on Monday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia and one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the church.
