Columbiana - Eileen W. Blosser, 82, of Columbiana, died peacefully in her sleep Friday, August 4, 2017 at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center.
She was born December 12, 1934 in Ware, Hertford, England, the daughter of the late William and Hilda Eliza Ward Perry.
Eileen was a homemaker and a lifelong member at Midway Mennonite Church of Columbiana where she enjoyed participating and attending many church functions. She was a member of the Mary Dorcus Circle, the Worship Commission and many Bible Studies. She volunteered at the Rescue Mission and the former Woodside Hospital in Youngstown and was a chaplain's assistant at the Salem Community Hospital. She would do anything at anytime for anyone and always helped and encouraged people with her warm heart of compassion.
She was preceded in death on April 26, 2015 by her husband, Herman H. Blosser whom she married October 2, 1953.
Eileen is survived by three daughters, Lynnette Kreidler of Enon Valley, PA, Lisa (Donald) Sawders of Columbiana and Sherri Frederick of Leetonia; three sons, Laverne Blosser of Greenford, Phillip (Lisa) Blosser of Salem and Kevin (Joann) Blosser of Tyler, TX, nineteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Precella Blosser and brother, Ronald Perry.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Midway Mennonite Church with Greg Bowman officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church social hall. Burial will be in Midway Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana from 4-6:30 pm Tuesday and at the church one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
