Edward Michael Thiry

East Palestine-January 21, 2009-Edward M. Thiry, 53, of 5722 State Route 170, died at his home.

Mr. Thiry was born November 24, 1955 in Kittanning, PA a son of Charles and Zoanna Aites Thiry and had lived in this area all of his life.

Edward was a graduate of Robert Bycroft School and worked for EDI South in Calcutta.

He is survived by three sisters, Barbara (Richard) Dallies of Calcutta, Doris (Joe) Boone and Wanda Thiry and Ron Witherow all of Salineville; two brothers, John (Julie) Thiry of East Palestine and Charles (Shelia) Thiry of Leetonia; and several loving nieces and nephews, Kenneth, Stacy, Joshua, Jessica, Tana, Roxanne, Abigail and Jonathan.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the East Carmel Cemetery Chapel with Reverend Matthew Wright officiating. Burial will follow in East Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the cemetery chapel. Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine is handling the arrangements.
