Edward Ronald Kinney, Jr

Columbiana - Edward R. Kinney, Jr., 76, of Columbiana, died at 4:25 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the Salem Community Hospital.

Mr. Kinney was born July 28, 1937 in Lorain, OH, a son of Edward R. and Florence White Kinney. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a graduate of Kent State University. He had been employed as a police officer for Wayne State University, Detroit, MI.

He is survived by his wife, the former Virginia E. Ferris, whom he married January 14, 1967; a daughter, Andrea Kinney of Salem, two sons, Edward Kinney of Medina and Dominic Kinney of Columbiana; and two brothers, Ronald Dabrowski of Huron and Patrick Dabrowski of Edgewater, FL.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Colleen Kinney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2013 at St. Jude Catholic Church, Columbiana. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Palestine.

Friends may call at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Monday.
