Columbiana November 12, 2004 -Edward Louis Fox, age 75, of 337 West Salem Street died at 4:00 a.m. Friday in the Salem Community Hospital, where he had been a patient for nine days.

He was born July 26, 1929 in Westover West Virginia, son of Leisure C. and Margaret Jane Yost Fox.

Mr. Fox had lived in Columbiana for 46 years coming from Carrollton.

He had been Diesel Mechanic for the former Hanna Coal Company and then he was a Diesel Mechanic for Cummins Diesel for 34 years and had been an avid wood worker.

Mr. Fox served with the 809th Engineer Aviation Battalion in the Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Hannah June Beadnell whom he married January 26, 1951; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Debra Lynn) Staib of Lisbon, Mrs. Froilan (Pamela Sue) Gonzalez of Jensen Beach, FL and Mrs. Wayne (Connie Lou) Farmer of Ft. Pierce, FL; two sons, Bruce Edward Fox and James Allen Fox, both of Columbiana; a sister, Mrs. Sara Hagey of Carrollton; two brothers, Leisure D. Fox of Canton and Jack Fox of Newark, DE; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Two sisters, Edna Higgins and Ruth McCray, preceded him in death.

His funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with the Jeffery Swain, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery.

Friends may call 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
