Columbiana - January 18, 2011-Edna May Coy, 99, died Tuesday at 9:40 a.m. at Essex I of Salem.

Mrs. Coy was born January 13, 1912 in Sebring, a daughter of the late Joseph and Eva Cross Clark and had lived in the Columbiana area most of her life.

She was a member of the Zion Hill Church of the Brethren, Columbiana.

Her husband, Lawrence Stelvin Coy, whom she married March 28, 1931 died on May 6, 1993.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet Horst of Columbiana and Lynda Sharp of Austintown; five grandchildren, Kathy (Steve) Blakeman of Columbiana, Paul Sharp of Seattle, Washington, Jeffrey (Laurie) Sharp of Salem, Michael Sharp of Leetonia and Amy Galvan of Boulder, Colorado; 14 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Coy also was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Harold Horst.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2011, at the Zion Hill Church of the Brethren with Reverend John Bartholomew and Steve Blakeman officiating. Burial will follow at the Zion Hill Cemetery, Columbiana.

Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Funeral arrangements are being made by the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the Zion Hill Church of the Brethren or Hospice of the Valley.
