Edith E. Knight

Columbiana - October 1, 2008 - Edith E. Knight, 92, of 811 S. Main Street, Apt. E5, died on Wednesday, at Salem Community Hospital's Skilled Nursing Facility.

Edith was born April 30, 1916, in Lima, OH, a daughter of Charles W. and Elizabeth H. Ward Jenkins, and was a long time resident of Negley, Rogers, New Waterford and Columbiana.

Mrs. Knight had been a homemaker and a member of the Zion Hill Church of the Brethren.

Her husband, W. Boyd Knight whom she married November 14, 1936, preceded her in death on July 5, 1984.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy L. (William) Pinto of Redmond, OR; three grandchildren, Larry L. Dailey of Lisbon, Terri A. McCambridge of New Waterford, and Gary W. Dailey of Lisbon; as well as, three great grandchildren.

A daughter, Elizabeth A. Dailey also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2008 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Reverend John Bartholomew officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9:00 p.m. on Friday and one half hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
