New Waterford, OH-August 14, 2009-Earon Gillam, 77, of 1888 Macklin Road died at 7:20 p.m. Friday at the Hospice House in Poland.

Mr. Gillam was born June 2, 1932 in Globe, KY, a son of Lennie and Rose Spellman Gillam and had lived in this area for 44 years coming from Canfield.

Earon owned and operated Gillam Machine in New Waterford for many years retiring in 2005. He had also worked for the former Wean United in Youngstown. He was a member of Rogers Assembly of God.

He is survived by his wife, the former Roberta Jo Porter, whom he married October 22, 1953; his daughter, Jacquelin (Rich) Hays of Rogers; his two sons, Roger (Gayle) Gillam of East Palestine and Bryce (Anita) Gillam of Columbiana; three brothers, Moses Gillam of Tiffin, Arch Gillam of Galion and Lennie Gillam, Jr. of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Cedric (Lisa) Hays, Amanda (Ben) Hunt, Matthew (Laura) Gillam, Wade Gillam, Christina Gillam and Lance Earon Gillam; and four great grandchildren, Richard Hays, Hunter Hays, William Earon Hunt and Levi Hunt.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Madeline Richmond, Ona Justice, Thelma Ivy and four brothers, James, Verlin and Isaac Gillam and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Rogers Assembly of God with the Reverend Paul R. Wright officiating. Burial will follow in East Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Rogers Assembly of God Church and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
