Douglas Ivor Moore

Columbiana - Douglas Ivor Moore, age 92, of Columbiana, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, Boardman.

He was born on October 22, 1932, in Columbiana, OH, a son of the late Mervin and Evaline Weigle Moore.

Doug was a 1950 graduate of Fairfield Centralized High Schol and had worked as a bookkeeper for City of Columbiana for almost fifty years.  He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Salem where he had served as an usher, greeter and a communion assistant.  Doug enjoyed both flower and vegetable gardening.  Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife and son.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Elizabeth Arras Moore, whom he married on January 27, 1968; his son, David F. Moore who preceded him on February 27, 2024, and by his brother, Mervin "Joe" Joseph Moore.

Douglas is survived by his sister, Marylou McDonald of Florence, AZ; a close niece, Marla (Bob) Hum of Columbiana, and a close nephew, Charles (Beverly) Huff of Columbiana.  Also surviving are several other nephews and several great grand nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 11:30 am, at the Columbiana Cemetery Chapel, with Pastor Jeremy Hollingshead officiating.

Burial will take place at the Columbiana Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 251 South Broadway Ave, Salem, OH 44460.
