Dorothy Jane Sevenich

Dorothy Jane Eastek Sevenich, age 89, of Leetonia, died on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at her home in Leetonia surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Leetonia on June 27, 1936, and she was the daughter of the late Nicholous and Julia Gabor Eastek.

Dorothy was a 1954 graduate of Salem High School and attended Saint Carlo Acutis Parish, Saint Patrick Church. She was a proud homemaker, who enjoyed picking fresh produce from her garden, caring for her flowers and cooking, especially making holiday meals for her family. Dorothy cherished her family, she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart. She loved spending time with them and attending all their activities and sporting events.

Her husband, Vincent Joseph Sevenich, whom she married on April 28, 1962, preceded her in death on, October 19, 2022.

Dorothy is survived by her three daughters, Susan (Kenneth) Crowl of Columbiana, Lisa Popa of Columbiana, Sharon (Todd) Walters of Leetonia; four grandchildren, Katelyn (Dean) Stokes, Amanda (Cody) Boyer, Ryan (Alyssa) Popa and Quinton Walters and eight great grandchildren, Brody, Madden, Camille and Caroline Stokes, Madelyn and Lucas Boyer and Flora and Finn Popa.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Holman and two brothers, Alexander and Walter Eastek.

A private family funeral was held.

Burial took place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Leetonia.
