Dorothy Mae Musser

East Palestine - Dorothy Mae Musser, 87, of East Palestine, died at 3:55 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Musser was born December 24, 1926 in East Palestine, a daughter of the late Robert and Sarah Mankin Gorby and had lived here most of her life. She had been employed at the former W. S. George Pottery and the former Isaly Store. She had also been a cook at various local restaurants and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of East Palestine.

Her husband, Raymond Musser, whom she married May 16, 1946 died November 15, 2008.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane (Glenn) Vankirk of East Palestine and Marie (Carl) Peterson of Columbiana; two sons, Raymond "Pete" (Joann) Musser of East Palestine and Robert (Valerie) Musser of New Waterford; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Three sisters, Ethel Gibson, Margaret Weber, and Ruth Flowers are also deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Pam Price officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
