Dorothy Grace Mossor

Columbiana - Dorothy Benner Mossor, 92, died at 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Parkside Health Care Center.

Mrs. Mossor was born February 20, 1922 in Leetonia, a daughter of the late Roy E. and Helen Newhouse Cope and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Columbiana.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilbur D. Benner; her second husband, Virgil K. Mossor; a son, Lawrence W. Benner; a brother, Charles Cope; and a great grandson, Logan J. Benner.

She is survived by a daughter, Margery (Monty) Armentrout of Columbiana; a step son, John (Esther) Mossor of Chester, WV; a daughter in law, Anne Benner of Columbiana; three brothers, James (Marcia) Cope of St. Paris, OH, Donald (Janet) Cope of Loveland, CO, and Howard (Harva) Cope of Columbiana; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Pastor James Cope officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.
