Dorothy E. Mathey

Leetonia - October 7, 2007 - Dorothy E. Mathey, 77, of 101 Pine Street, died at 5:40 a.m. Sunday at the St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center, Columbiana.

Mrs. Mathey was born January 28, 1930 in Masury, OH, a daughter of Ralph and Eva Hively McQuistion and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Mathey; a daughter, Barbara Briggs; and a son, Michael Mathey.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. William (Eva Jean) Furrer of Salem, Mrs. James (Julia) Miller of New Springfield, and Vicky Mathey of Carrollton; a son, Robert Mathey of Salem; a sister, Viola Freeman of Akron; a brother, Ralph McQuistion of Columbiana; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2007 at St. Jacob's Cemetery, Leetonia, with the Reverend David H. Conrad officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacob's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements were made by the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
