Dorothy Helen Little

Columbiana - Dorothy Helen Little, 87, of Middleburg Heights, formerly of Columbiana, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011.

Dorothy was born February 9, 1924 in Punxsutawney, PA, a daughter of John U. and Nellie Burkett Gahagan. Dorothy's main focus was her family; however she did have several interesting jobs. She was a "Rosie The Riveter" during WWII, a pizza maker when her children were older and a line supervisor at The Harvest House Cafeteria. Her hobbies included playing cards with friends, baking, and traveling.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Linda (Michael) Sarabura of Middleburg Heights, OH, Patricia Callahan of Vincennes, IN, and Brenda (John) Balog of Canfield; a son, Gregory Robinson of Denver, CO; a sister, Mable (Bill) Hauger of Cincinnati, OH; a brother, Wesley (Joanne) Gahagan of Youngstown; six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Little; her former husband, Martin Robinson; three brothers, Charles Lee, Donald B. and Delmas Gahagan; and a daughter, Karen Little.

Friends may call at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. when services will be held. The Reverend Charles Ready will officiate and burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Boardman, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Hospice, 6707 State Road, Parma, OH 44134.
