Dorothy J. Hinchliffe

Lisbon, OH-February 3, 2004-"Together Again" Our mom, Dorothy J. Hinchliffe, age 83, formerly of Lisbon died at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday at Hospice Care Center of VNS with her family by her side following several months of declining health. Although we will miss you Mom, and it is hard to let you go; it is comforting to know you and Dad are together once again.

Mrs. Hinchliffe was born May 15, 1920 in Eriton, PA, a daughter of Robert and Laura M Plummer Burns. She was a homemaker and member of Washingtonville Robbins Memorial United Methodist Church. She had been a member of the Democratic Club of Columbiana County and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Washingtonville.

Her husband, Charles L. Hinchliffe, whom she married December 5, 1938 died September 12, 1998.

She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. John (Carolyn) Gunyula of Kent, Mrs. Tony (Cathy) Richmond of Cary, NC, Mrs. Don (Penny) Felger of Richmond, VA; her son, Robert (Nancy) Hinchliffe of Alliance; her sister Mrs. James (Delores) McKee of Dubois, PA; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel and David Burns and a granddaughter, Dr. Lisa Gunyula Mandalfino.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with Mr. Bing Newton officiating.

Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Gardens of Western Reserve, Streetsboro, OH 44241 where she had made her home for the last seven months.
