Dorothy Clara Hamilton

Leetonia, OH-May 7, 2005-Dorothy Clara Hamilton, age 84, of 2320 Leetonia Road died at 12:55 a.m. Saturday at her home.

Mrs. Hamilton was born April 30, 1921 in Pittsburgh, PA a daughter of Frederik and Mollie Wuenstel Fiegel and had lived here since 1978 coming from New Waterford.

Dorothy was a homemaker and member of the Leetonia Mennonite Church and the Columbiana Baptist Church. Her husband, John E. Hamilton, Sr. whom she married February 7, 1942 died March 20, 2002. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. H. George (Susan) Bowen of Leetonia; three sons, John E. Hamilton, Jr. of Leetonia, Charles F. Hamilton of Columbiana and Gary R. Hamilton of Farmington, NY; a brother, Bernard Fiegel of Lewes, Delaware; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, six step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, David A. Hamilton; a brother, Frederik Rowe; and three grandchildren, John E. Hamilton III, Frederik Hamilton and Lisa Hamilton.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with her son, Pastor Charles F. Hamilton of the Upper Room Fellowship and Pastor Ken Clark of the Columbiana Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00- 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
