Dorothy Jane Gray

Leetonia- Dorothy Jane Gray, age 97 of Leetonia, died on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at AustinWoods Nursing Center, Austintown.

Mrs. Gray was born on December 13, 1919 in Portland, OR a daughter of the late Harry D. and Mayme Culp Arnold.

She attended Leetonia High School and was a 1942 graduate of Ohio University. Dorothy was an English teacher and librarian at Fairfield Junior High working for the Crestview School District for 27 years, retiring in 1982.

Her husband Harold Gray, whom she married April 11, 1943, preceded her in death June 29, 2001.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Les) Cope of Salem and Denise Wade of Columbus; two sons, H. Dennis Gray of Richardson, Texas and Scott Gray of Canton, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Laurie (Mark) Thomas, Rebecca (Don) Dustman, Matt (Kim) Cope, Erica (Michael) Tuscano, Aeron Wade, Ryan (Rachel) Gray, and Ashely Gray; and ten great grandchildren, Brent, Brooke, Luke, Tyler, McKenzie, Letta, Lilly, Gray, Ginny Rose and Rhett.

Dorothy was also preceded in death by a daughter Judith A. Troy.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 6:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.

Services will follow at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating.

Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia.
