Columbiana - With great sadness, I share that my mother, Dorothy A. DeMarco, age 95, departed this life on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Shepard of the Valley, Poland.
She was born on August 15, 1929, in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Suzie Bozick. She married Eugene DeMarco, on January 22, 1949, she loved her husband and took care of him when he was ill. She was her parents’ caregiver when they were older.
Dorothy was known for her love of helping other people through her many acts of kindness. She was well known for her baking, cooking, and inviting everyone into her home, and if you left her house hungry, it was your own fault. She loved her family, relatives and friends. She was a wonderful mother, eager to listen and offer advice to anyone. She truly was the heart and backbone of her family. She was a Devoted Catholic; she was deeply committed to her Catholic faith. She loved the Blessed Mother. She took her faith seriously. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves her daughter, who she deeply loved, Melissa (Ron, Jr) DeMarco Seidle of Columbiana. She leaves her grandchildren, Kelly (Mike) Dickson, Amy DeMarco and Tracy DeMarco and her great granddaughter, Lily DeMarco.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who she deeply loved, Eugene DeMarco, her beloved son, who she deeply loved, Eugene (Geno) DeMarco; three brothers, George Bozick, John Adams and Mike Adams; along with two sisters, Alice Carkido and Mary Jane Johnson.
