Dorothy Shell Buchanan

Dorothy Shell Buchanan, age 79, died on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.

She was born on March 22, 1945, in Negley, daughter of the late Robert and Betty Shell.

Dorothy worked over 50 years at area restaurants, including Denny’s in Boardman and ended her career at Sparkle in Columbiana.

Dorothy leaves behind her daughter, Elaine Buchanan of East Palestine; a brother, Bob (Debbie) Shell of Lisbon; a sister, Linda Smith of Salem; three nieces; six great nieces and nephews and three great great nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am with funeral services to follow at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Pastor Jan Winnale officiating.

Burial will take place at East Carmel Cemetery, Rogers.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.
