Dorothy M. Bittner
East Palestine - Dorothy M. Bittner, 89, formerly of East Martin Street, died at 10:45 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2010 at the Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.
Mrs. Bittner was born December 13, 1920 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late John B. and Lucille Wymer Alexander and had lived in this area most of her life.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, East Palestine.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Bingham of East Palestine; a son, Howard R. Bittner of Cincinnati; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Bingham; a sister, Evelyn DeJane; and three brothers, John, Howard, and Roy Alexander.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Donald Pentz officiating.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.
