Doris J. Mcfarland

Columbiana-July 16, 2010-Doris J. McFarland, 69, of 14 Windrose Court, died Friday at her home.

Mrs. McFarland was born December 12, 1940 in Beaver County, PA, a daughter of John and Edith Shoaff and had lived in this area all of her life.

She was a homemaker and loving mother to her five children and loved to play bingo.

Her husband, Robert A. McFarland, Sr., whom she married August 8, 1960, died January 29, 1980. She is survived by two daughters, Betty (James) Meyers, of Austintown and Priscilla (Randy) McLaughlin of Columbiana; three sons, Arthur (Darcie) McFarland of Salem, Donnie (Glenda) McFarland of Wellsville and Robert McFarland, Jr. of Lisbon; two sisters, Edith Tyson of Lisbon and Evelyn (Wally) Fleming of Salem; thirteen grandchildren, Kimberly McFarland, Tamara Gaul, LeAnn Schreffler, Jennifer Price, Kelly Kuttler, Sgt. Kenneth P. Heitger, Sonya Thompson, Jessica Cornman, Douglas McFarland, Candi Davis, Larry Shultz, Clint Parker and Mike Parker; and sixteen great grandchildren, Allison and Benjamin Gaul, Kiera, Damion and Isaac Schreffler, Timothy and Jason Kuttler, Vanessa Price, Brody and Clay Thompson, Devon Cornman, Damon Sipe, Wayne Davis, Kadence, Evan and Graydon Parker.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy White, Myrna Tyson and Betty Evancho and seven brothers, Ronald, Donald, Robert, Charles, Harry, William and Earl Shoaff.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
