Donald E. Young

Chicago, IL - August 15, 2007 - Donald E. Young, formerly of East Palestine, OH and Beaver Falls, PA, passed away Wednesday evening, August 15, 2007 in the Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, where he had been confined for several days.

Donnie was born June 26, 1934 in East Palestine, the son of Kathryn Irene Young. He spent his early childhood in the home of his grandparents, Iva and Howard Silvis. He moved to Beaver Falls with his mother and stepfather, William Whisler and graduated from the Beaver Falls High School.

Donnie was preceded in death by his mother, stepfather, grandfather Young, Grandmother Silvis, step grandfather Silvis, uncles Bill Silvis and Francis Gorby; and aunt Margarite Groner.

He is survived by two aunts, Hazel Walker of East Palestine and Ruth Kacar of Canton; and many cousins in this area.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine with the Reverend Don W. Kraps officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
