Columbiana- Donald E. Lipe, passed away Friday afternoon, July 28, 2017, due to cardiac arrest while at kidney dialysis in Canfield, Ohio.
A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Lipe was born on July 15, 1928, the youngest child of the late Robert and Leah Woods Lipe and his late stepfather Ethan Allen Hitchcock. He had lived in Columbiana all of his life and retired in 1993 as a well-respected mechanic for Cummins Diesel.
"Dad" was a beloved father and husband. An honest, hardworking, and dedicated provider to his family. He would much rather help others than to ask others for their help.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Hall-Lipe, whom he was married to for 64 years; his sons, Donald A. (Diane) Lipe and David E. (Elaina) Lipe. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Jennifer Lipe and Sarah Lipe-Bustamante and a great grandson, Mason Bustamante.
Donald was preceded in death by his three older brothers, Robert Lipe, JR., Willis "Sox" Lipe, and Wayne Lipe.
Per his wishes, no services will be observed.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
