Donald L. Bishop

New Waterford-Donald L. Bishop, 65, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 15, 2018 at Salem Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Bishop was born February 8, 1953 in Salem, a son of the late Donald L. and Emma Clemmer Bishop, Sr. and had lived in this area all of his life.

Donald worked at Fresh Mark in Salem and was a US Army veteran. He had also served two years in the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, the former Sherry L. Mahon, whom he married October 6, 1973; his daughter, Peggy (Derek Craig, fiancée) of East Palestine; his son, Donald P. (Angela Peebles) Bishop of East Palestine; two sisters, Karen Baker of Salem and Judith (David) Trella of New Brighton, PA; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and John Bishop.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm, Monday, August 20, 2018 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Mr. Robert Helbeck, Minister officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 pm Monday at the funeral home.
