Don Allen Patchen

Poland- Don Allen Patchen, age 91, of Poland, formerly of Columbiana, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Hampton Woods, Poland.

He was born August 6, 1925 in Columbiana, a son of the late Guy and Lydia Heston Patchen. Don graduated from Columbiana High School in 1943. He played basketball for Akron University and graduated with a degree in electrical engineering in 1947. He retired after 41 years of service from Insurance Services Office of Ohio. He married Mary Margaret (Marcie) Albright in 1952. Don and Marcie moved to Poland in 1955.

Don was a member of the Poland United Methodist Church, the Poland Masonic Lodge, and the YMCA. He was an avid bridge and chess player.
